On To High School

On To High School

Firecrackers Rico/Weil will take a break from competition, meanwhile, our players are getting ready to compete for a different team, their school. In a few weeks, High School softball will be in full swing for our players and they will experience the game with their high school friends and classmates.

Our players are privileged to have the honor to wear their school colors and represent their school on the softball field. Many will play alongside players they have know since their early days of rec ball, bringing back memories from past teams and leagues when they were just starting out in this game.

Several of our players will play high school ball together, continuing to share the field with their Firecrackers Rico/Weil teammates. Some will end up competing against each other, hoping to take home bragging rights that will last them through the summer season over their travel ball teammates, now softball foes. Eight of our players represent schools that play in the same league, with storied school rivalries. This could get interesting!

For our 12 seniors, this will be the last year they will wear their high school uniform before heading off to college. A last chance at high school glory and a chance to beat their rivals on the softball field.
