As I sit here this morning, looking at my oldest daughter getting ready to sign her National Letter of Intent(NLI), I have many thoughts and emotions. My daughter’s excitement and joy brings back so many memories for me. I remember taking her to her first 6U practice, where this journey began many years ago. She was nervous, a bit scared but then she started to find a love for the game of softball. I look back to the first time she hit a home run and the joy she felt hitting the ball over a fence, the frustration of losing, the thrill of winning a championship. All those experiences leading her to today, Signing Day!
This signing day is quite unlike any other. The class of 2021 has dealt with many difficult times over the last 7 months, hopefully signing their NLI today will hopefully provide a bright spot for these student athletes that have had to endure all the frustration that 2020 has brought to them.
Firecrackers Rico/Weil would like to congratulate all the young women signing their NLI today and taking the next step to fulfilling their childhood dream to attend college and the chance to play the game they fell in love with as kids! Way to go Emma and Sophia!
